Montreal, January 28th, 2005 - Global Vision / Citélab Introduces ARRISCAN Technology to Canada, Allowing 2K, 4K and Beyond

Global Vision/Citélab today announced their purchase of the first ARRISCAN in Canada. Already in operation this January at Global Vision/Citélab, the ARRISCAN is the best performing S-16 & 35mm film scanner on the market. With this state-of-the-art scanner, Quebec producers and distributors will benefit from a marked improvement in image quality for feature films, commercials and trailers intended for theatrical release, as well as the added advantages of fully integrated digital postproduction in 2K, 4K and even 6K.

After a thorough evaluation of existing technologies and those still being developed, Global Vision/Citélab determined that the ARRISCAN was the best in its category. It offers a new standard of quality and reliability in digitization, with superior definition, stability and an extended dynamic range.

Last spring, Global Vision/Citélab announced their purchase of an ARRILASER PERFORMANCE film recorder. With this most recent purchase of the ARRISCAN , Global Vision/Citélab is well on its way to completing its digital postproduction pipeline for 2K, 4K and beyond.

Now in 2K production at Global Vision/Citélab: Familia , a feature film produced by Luc Déry and Kim McCraw of Micro-Scope and directed by Louise Archambault, with André Turpin as cinematographer and Érik Daniel as director of postproduction.
